What it is

The ballistic missile of the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system. In the 9M723 missile, HUR found a 9B918 active radar homing head and documented 177 components. The missile flies on a high arc, climbing over 100 km, and comes down on its target from above.

What it means for you

From launch to impact takes only minutes, and spotters do not report a heading. So on the map it is a marker without an arrow, which we close within a few minutes. When a ballistic threat is announced, go to a shelter immediately.

What to do

  1. 1When you hear the “Air raid alert!” signal, go to the nearest shelter at once. Find out in advance where it is near your home and work.
  2. 2If you cannot reach a shelter, move to a room without windows and follow the “two walls” rule.
  3. 3Agree with your family on what to do and where to meet if the phone network or the power goes down.

A marker on our map may appear late or not at all. Go by the siren, not by the map.
